After losing his job at a restaurant in Asheville in 1994,  Hector was walking down the street wondering how he was going to feed his 2 young children at home with no job.  As he was walking, he came across a man who offered him a chance to turn his little spot into something great, and that he did!  With the generosity of the community donating money to Hector to help him realize his dream of being his own boss and creating food he is passionate about, Salsa's was able to come to fruition.  From this encounter Salsa's was born!  Here he is, 16 years later, still creating, still passionate, and still thankful for the community that has embraced him.
